On March 8th and 9th, We hosted Community Peace Dialogue event in Eldoret, which brought together members from the Baringo, Marakwet, and Pokot tribes. The event was sponsored by Mama Cash, and the theme was “Working to End the Cycle of Violence in the Kerio Valley Triangle.” The event was aimed at fostering dialogue among the communities and finding solutions to the longstanding conflicts that have plagued the region. Participants engaged in constructive discussions and proposed various approaches to achieving lasting peace, including promoting education and economic opportunities, improving access to healthcare, and strengthening local governance structures. Through open and honest dialogue, participants were able to build trust and develop a shared vision for peace and reconciliation.
